February 17, 2026 – Begin English Language Fundamentals. Pass out the English Language Fundamentals Vocabulary. Review slides 1 – 14 of the Vocabulary Comprehension section. Review To, Too, and Two: How to Choose the Right Word. Students complete Key Concepts I – Vocabulary Comprehension and Check for Understanding I – Vocabulary Comprehension. Complete To, Too and Two Worksheet 1 and To, Too and Two Worksheet 2.
February 18, 2026 – Review slides 15 – 26 of the Reading Comprehension section. Students complete Key Concepts II – Reading Comprehension and Check for Understanding II – Reading Comprehension. Assign Daily Edits 1 and Daily Edits 2.
February 19, 2026 – Review slides 27 – 39 of the Listening Comprehension section. Students complete Key Concepts III – Listening Comprehension and Check for Understanding III – Listening Comprehension. Assign Fact vs Opinion 1 and Fact vs Opinion 2.
February 20, 2026 – Review slides 40 – 54 of the Writing Application section. Students complete Key Concepts IV – Writing Application and Check for Understanding IV – Writing Application. Read Mistakes that Every Professor Hates to See in an Essay and answer Questions.
February 23, 2026 – Students complete Vocabulary – English Language Fundamentals and Final Assessment – English Language Fundamentals. Catch up on missing assignments!
February 24, 2026 – Begin Leadership Styles Topic. Begin the class by distributing the Leadership Styles Vocabulary Handout for students to use as reference material during the entire presentation. Show the Introduction to Leadership Styles segment of Leadership Styles. Follow the segment with Student Notes – Leadership Styles – Introduction to Leaderships Styles, Assessment I and Hot Air Balloon Coat of Arms Activity.
February 25, 2026 – Remind students to continue using the Vocabulary Handout. Show the Traits of a Leader segment of Leadership Styles. Review How to Motivate Your Employees. Follow the segment with Student Notes – Leadership Styles – Traits of a Leader and Assessment II. Complete All Anyone Really Wants at Work Is Autonomy.
February 26, 2026 – Watch Everyday Leadership. Begin the class by asking students if they believe communication is important in their lives. Show the Communication in Leadership segment of Leadership Styles (slides 39 -46). Follow the segment with Student Notes – Leadership Styles – Communication in Leadership and Assessment III. Complete What Gets You Up in the Morning? as compared to what keeps you up at night worrying as a leader.
February 27, 2026 – Show the Leadership in Groups segment of Leadership Styles (slides 47 – 65), followed by Student Notes – Leadership Styles – Leadership in Groups and Assessment IV. Assign the Leadership & CTSOs Activity. CTSO is Career and Technical Student Organizations like FBLA.
March 2, 2026 – Watch The Surprising Truth in How to be a Great Leader (12:51), a presentation about not needing to be an expert to be a great leader. Complete Leadership vs. Management Activity and Vocabulary – Leadership Styles. Administer the Leadership Styles Final Assessment. [REF03172025]
