October 11, 2021 – Begin Financial Statements & Recordkeeping topic. Pass out the Financial Statements & Recordkeeping Vocabulary Handout and the Checking Account Paperwork Student Handout for students to use as reference materials. Show the Financial Statements segment of the
presentation. Follow the segment with Assessment I.
October 12, 2021 – Watch Raymond and the Checkbook. Instruct students to complete Financial Statements & Recordkeeping – Financial Statements Student Notes and the Bank Accounts Activity in the “Interactive Activities” section. Introduce the Reconciling a Bank Statement Project and instruct students to start working on it.
October 13, 2021– Remind students to continue using the Vocabulary Handout as reference materials. Show the Recordkeeping segment. Have students complete Financial Statements & Recordkeeping – Recordkeeping Student Notes and the Financial Statement Calculation Activity in the “Interactive Activities” section. Students should complete Assessment II. Introduce the Maintaining Financial Records Project and instruct students to start working on it.
October 14, 2021 – Remind students to continue using the Vocabulary Handout as reference materials. Follow the instructions on slide 43 of the PowerPoint® to view the Expert Tips & Advice video segment. Complete Financial Statements & Recordkeeping – Vocabulary. Allow time for students to work on their Projects. Complete John Enterprises Worksheet.
October 15, 2021 – Students should complete the Financial Statements & Recordkeeping Final Assessment. Groups should share their Maintaining Financial Records Projects with the class.
