October 19, 2020 – Show the Taxes & Government – Tax Forms segment. Students should complete the corresponding Assessment IV. Distribute a copy of the federal W-4 and 1040 forms to each student. October 20, 2020 – View and discuss the Taxes & Government – Filing Taxes & Tax Fraud segment. Students should complete the corresponding Assessment V. Watch “Where did my money go?” Distribute the Tax Filing Fact Sheet Activity and allow students to work.
October 21, 2020 – Show the Taxes & Government – Monetary & Fiscal Policies segment. Watch What is Taxing about Taxes? Students should complete the corresponding Assessment VI. Read Monetary & Fiscal Policies in Times of Crises and answer Questions. Instructing students to complete the Crossword.
October 22, 2020 – Distribute the Taxes & Government Final Assessment and allow time for students to complete it. Read Americans Spent More on Taxes in 2019 Than on Food, Clothing, Health Care and Entertainment Combined. Discuss the big business of Halloween. Begin watching Beetlejuice.
October 23, 2020 – Much like following the rules of taxes, when the couple in Beetlejuice try to figure out how to deal with life in the afterlife, they’re repeatedly told to “read the manual.” Like a lot of people — living or otherwise — they don’t follow this advice, and they run into one problem after another.
