September 8, 2020 – Watch Good Credit Benefits. Review credit vocabulary. Administer Credit Histories, Scores & Bureaus Assessment II (iCEV). Pass out Credit Score Handout. Perform Credit History Exercise and Credit Offers Exercise.

September 9, 2020 – After reviewing the material from the last class, administer Types of Loans Assessment and The Cost of Loans Assessment (iCEV) for students to complete. Pass out the Investing and Homeownership handouts and remind students to refer to the Vocabulary Handout and Worksheet. Play The Basics of Investing and The Basics of Homeownership segments. Distribute the Investment Scenarios Activity for completion.

September 10, 2020 – Allow students to review material from the previous class. Watch What They Don’t Tell You About Buying Your First House. Pass out Renter’s Checklist. Exercise – On the Move: Renting Basics. Students make up any missing work and assessments.

September 11, 2020 – Assign The Basics of Investing Assessment V and The Basics of Homeownership Assessment VI. Read Find a Place to Rent and answer Rent Questions. Give instructions for the House or Apartment? Project. Students should complete and turn in their project papers.

Show the Exploring Careers: Business Management & Administration – Administrative Support segment. Allow students time to complete their Project. Remind students to study for the Assessment. Watch Secrets of the Administrative Assistant.

September 1, 2020 – Answer any final questions students may have over the presentation. Administer the Exploring Careers: Business Management & Administration Assessment. As mentioned, many of the jobs described have their origins during the Industrial Revolution. Read The Industrial Revolution Article and answer the Questions.

September 2, 2020 – Begin Employability Skills Section. Distribute the Vocabulary Handout and The Intangibles Student Handout for students to use as reference materials. Hand out the KWL Activity and have students complete the “What I Know” section as well as questions in the “What I Want to Know” section. Show slides 1 to 12 of the Employability Skills presentation. Hand out the Maintaining Employment Activity and allow students to work.

September 3, 2020 – Show slides 13 to 22 of the Employability Skills presentation. Lead the class discussion so students can share their findings from the Maintaining Employment Activity. Distribute the Interacting with Managers Project and allow groups to work.

September 4, 2020 – Show slides 23 to 36 of the Employability Skills presentation. Distribute the Continuing Education Activity, Problem Solving Activity and Critical & Creative Activity and allow students to work. Students should finish as homework.

August 31, 2020 – Watch Luca Pacioli: Father of Accounting. Finish showing the Steps of the Cycle segment (slides 51-65). Have students begin the Company Balance Sheet Review Project. Students should work on the Project for homework if necessary.

September 1, 2020 – Review the concepts covered in the Steps of the Cycle segment and administer the Assessment. Assign the Illustrate the Accounting Cycle Project.

September 2, 2020 – Students should complete their Illustrate the Accounting Cycle Projects and begin preparing for their presentations. Remind students to study for the Final Assessment. Assign Balance Sheet Exercises, Balance Sheet Word Scramble and Balance Sheet Income Statement Analysis.

September 3, 2020 – Answer any final questions and administer the Accounting Cycle: Service Business Final Assessment. Groups should begin presenting their Illustrate the Accounting Cycle

September 1, 2020 – Students should take the Cost of Education & Training Final Assessment (iCEV). Introduce the Paying for Education Activity and allow students to complete it. Watch Top 5 College Degrees That Are Actually Worth It and Virtual Tour of UTK. Students who have not yet, should apply for Tennessee Promise Scholarship.

September 2, 2020 – Begin the class by distributing the Financial Literacy: Savings, Loans & Investments Vocabulary Handout and Worksheet to be utilized during the lesson. Show The Basics of Savings segment. Hand out the Financial Literacy: Savings, Loans & Investments Crossword for students to complete.

September 3, 2020 – Briefly review the previous day’s materials before administering The Basics of Savings Assessment I (iCEV) for students to complete. Pass out the Loans Handout and remind students to use their Vocabulary Handout and Worksheet during the presentation. Show the Credit Histories, Scores & Bureaus segment. Allow students to complete the Mind Your Own Business Activity in the “Interactive Activities” section.

September 4, 2020 – Review the information from the previous class and administer Credit Histories, Scores & Bureaus Assessment II (iCEV) for students to complete. Discuss answers as a class before moving on to the Types of Loans and The Cost of Loans segments. Remind students to use the Loan and Vocabulary handouts and the Worksheet during the presentation. Students should complete the Total Cost of a Loan Activity.

September 1, 2020 – Show and discuss the Professional Communication slide segment and complete the corresponding Assessment V. Watch Clear Communication in the Workplace. Assign the Workplace Communication Project and allow students time to work.

September 2, 2020 – Show and discuss the Communication & Society slide segment. Watch Introduction to Propaganda. Students should complete the corresponding Assessment VI. Distribute the Glittering Generalities Activity and allow the remainder of the class for groups to work. Introduce the Billboard Design Project for students to begin as homework.

September 3, 2020 – Lead a class discussion so students can share their findings from the Find It Activity and the Glittering Generalities Activity with the class. Students should use any remaining class time to work on their Projects.
